Today we took the classroom outside for science. We went on a rock hunt on the school grounds. The students discovered that the rocks they found had many different properties. They took time to share those properties and their rocks with a partner. We also looked for things made of rocks. They found a ton! They loved being outside and didn't even realize how much they were learning.

Thanks for sharing Kelly! This looks like fun and what a great way to learn! Hands on is the best way to learn. They will be more likely to remember it!
